Description

The Stokesville Lodge is an amazing place for a family reunion, your book club gathering, a writers retreat or your once in a lifetime wedding.

The Lodge is also a central location for epic mountain biking and road riding in the Shenandoah Valley. The grounds are located adjacent to the start of the famous Shenandoah Mountain 100 just off the North River. The Lodge is central to many IMBA Epics and just a few miles from one of the first IMBA signature rides, “The Southern Traverse”. A fully equipped base camp that links you to hundreds of miles of single track or scenic back country roads. Make reservations now to start your training or even to plan a relaxing family vacation. Professional guides are also available through Shenandoah Mountain Touring to lead you on your journey whether it be mountain biking, hiking or road bicycling.

The Stokesville Lodge is normally rented in full and not by the room for weekly stays, or just the weekend. Special reservations are available for weddings, team camps and family reunions. Rooms may be rented individually on occasion, please contact us if you see a open slot on the calendar linked above.

Weekly rentals are $1600 for up to six people. Weekend rentals start at $800 for up to six people. Additional guests (over the base max or 6) can be accommodated for $40/night, $70/weekend, $150/week. There is a $100 cleaning fee charged for each rental period. The front master bed room has 3 queen beds and a large bathroom. The back master bedroom has two queens, a day bed and a full bathroom. The loft has four singles (including a bunk bed) a double and its own full bathroom.

The kitchen has everything you could desire with plenty of flatware, kitchen aid mixer, food processor, 3 coffee makers of various sizes, vintage china, large and small pots and pans to cook for a couple or a twenty person team of hungry cyclists. There is a dishwasher and plenty of room to cook large group meals in the open and spacious kitchen.  A screened in back porch off the kitchen is great for dining and relaxing. There is a gas or charcoal grill outside and plenty of space to play in the fenced in seven acre compound.  A washer and dryer are off the kitchen in the large laundry room with a utility sink.

There is Wifi, but no television service. Verizon 3G has as strong signal and works well as a hotspot. AT&T is spotty. There is a maximum of two dogs allowed – $50 for the first and $25 for the second. Cats are NOT permitted.

Bedrooms

Master Suite – 2 queen beds and 1 full bed, with master bath

Second Bedroom – 2 queen beds and one day bed, with adjoining full-size bathroom (shared as common bathroom off of kitchen and main living space)

Upstairs Loft – 3 single beds and one bunk bed set with full bathroom

Linens are on all beds with sheets, blankets, pillows, and a comforter

Towels for every bathroom (6 are numbered for your convenience), plus extra in the common bathroom

Kitchen

Pots: extra large, large and medium with two strainers.
Pans: two large (non-stick!), one large cast iron, one medium (non-stick), and one small (non-stick). You will also find to griddles (non-stick) in the pantry.
Cooking utensils are all plastic/rubber or wood for NON STICK SURFACES!!! Silverware, kitchen shears, bottle opener, wine opener, can opener, mixing bowls, serving bowls, dish towels, pot holders, two full sets of dishes with the cutest china! Please use china, but carefully (we have been putting the china in the dishwasher). Do not use china in microwave.Coffee cups are limited as of now, you may want to bring your own favorite coffee mug! There are plenty of pint glasses!

Oven with glass cook-top, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, drip coffee, French press, electric tea kettle, clothes washer and dryer (***Do not use clothes detergent in clothes washer, we have a special system, see policies/procedures)

Seating

We have a large table with chairs for dinning needs in the great room and a small table and chairs in the kitchen. There is also a screened in porch off the kitchen with a table and chairs for dining or relaxing. There are seven stools at the spacious center island of the kitchen, which are great for breakfast!! There are couches around the wood burning stove in the main living space. The garage has a table with four chairs with a ping pong table.
