As one of the final bike festivals of the season, the Wydaho Rendezvous Teton Bike Festival announced in mid-July that the festival would be canceled for 2020 because of increased COVID19 cases locally, the lack of an ICU in their local hospital and the fact that many bike brands sold their bike demo fleets during the summer.
The bike festival, which serves as a fundraiser for the local mountain bike trail network is held every year on Labor Day weekend at the Grand Targhee Resort located in Driggs, Idaho.

Dear Friends,
It is with a HEAVY, heavy heart that I am writing to let you know that we will NOT be hosting the Wydaho Rendezvous Bike Festival this year. We work year-round with manufacturers to recruit and schedule demos along with securing products all in the name of bringing you the best bike festival possible.
With all the uncertainty around the current pandemic, a number of key brands pulled their demo program for the summer and now, the fall. We wish it were different.
In addition, the trend regarding the pandemic in our region is increasing cases of COVID-19. Opinions aside on the severity of the virus, our hospital in Teton Valley has eight overnight rooms and no intensive care unit. It is our responsibility as a community non-profit to take that into consideration in times like these.

If you have booked lodging at Targhee or in the valley, the trails are riding well and you should still consider spending time here. Otherwise, please connect directly with the lodging companies to modify your reservation.
We will miss you this fall. Please take good care of yourselves and let’s all practice extra kindness. It feels like we could use some of that these days.
