Annual Memorial Day Whitewater Festival, CKS Paddlefest Goes Virtual

Annual Memorial Day Whitewater Festival, CKS Paddlefest Goes Virtual

Join us for a virtual CKS Paddlefest!

An interactive weekend of live workshops and clinics, adventure film screenings, raffles and athlete challenges!

CKS Paddlefest is now Virtual!

In light of the current situation in our world, we are altering our annual kick off to summer celebration with a virtual event in lieu of gathering in person for CKS Paddlefest this season.

CKS Paddlefest for many is the start to a fun filled season of outdoor adventures and playful community events and we want to help keep that stoke high!

CKS Paddlefest will continue to be a fundraising event and the proceeds will go towards supporting elevateHer and the Chaffee County Community Foundation! See below for benefit T-shirts and Donation options.

We are in the beginning stages of planning this virtual event, but stay tuned for the latest developments as we put together an interactive weekend of live workshops and clinics, adventure film screenings, raffles and athlete challenges!

We look forward  to kicking off another great summer season with all of you whether near or far, here or there!!

elevateHER

elevateHER is deeply saddened that Paddlefest will not be happening this year but understands that our community's health must come first.

As a small nonprofit whose mission is to empower young women through outdoor adventure and building life and leadership skills, this type of program will be even more important to the youth of Chaffee County to recover from the additional stress of cancelled school, extracurricular activities, and self-isolation. 65% of our participants are considered to be low-income/high risk and the pandemic has caused family financial and food insecurity. elevateHER will seek to provide additional supports to our participants this summer so that they can not only focus on recovering from this stressful event but also become healthy, striving, and resilient young adults.

In order to accomplish this, we ask that you please consider donating your original sponsorship or entry fee to elevateHER so we can continue providing programming to Chaffee County youth. Paddlefest is our biggest fundraiser and the loss of income (as well as a general decline in revenue to the COVID-19 pandemic) could be devastating for our organization.

We want to make sure that we are here for our girls and to be able to continue to provide them with life-changing programming long into the future. If you would like to donate to us directly, please visit www.elevateherco.org and click on "donate." We hope everyone continues to be safe and healthy during these uncertain times.

Need a refund? Please email accounting@cksmainstreet.com if you would like to have your money refunded instead of donated to elevateHER.
